Welcome to my World!

As my title states, I am a Wannabe Suzy Homemaker. When I first got married, I knew how to make Mac'n'Cheese and kinda clean up. No clue how to budget or change a diaper. Fast forward 6 years; I can freezer cook, organize, design, paint, craft, sew, love Dave Ramsey, and cloth diaper my youngest. I am trying to be a great wife, mother, and child of God. I am constantly tested but I am willing to try almost anything to grow myself into a better person.

Ruffles, Ruffle, Ruffles!

Over the last couple months I tried my hand at ruffling, here are a few things I learned:

1. Never touch your sewing machine's tension settings.  EVER!  I read somewhere that you could change the tension to make easier ruffles...guess who killed her machine by doing that...yup..moi.
2. Buy a ruffle foot, see above for reason.  Oh and after I did gobs of ruffles, it was a blessing to have it!
3. Turn fabric under before you ruffle so it doesn't fray.
4. Try ruffles on everything...next up for me is head bands, pillow covers, and tote bags.

Here are some of my finished aprons that I did ruffles for my Etsy shop and my friends.
