Welcome to my World!

As my title states, I am a Wannabe Suzy Homemaker. When I first got married, I knew how to make Mac'n'Cheese and kinda clean up. No clue how to budget or change a diaper. Fast forward 6 years; I can freezer cook, organize, design, paint, craft, sew, love Dave Ramsey, and cloth diaper my youngest. I am trying to be a great wife, mother, and child of God. I am constantly tested but I am willing to try almost anything to grow myself into a better person.

Pantry Clean Up

A few weeks ago at Mops we had the lovely speaker, Danielle Wurth, of Wurth Organizing attend.  http://www.wurthorganizing.com She had some great tips that I have implemented and plan to continue.  She put the organizing bug in my ear and I can't seem to get it out!!  So instead of ironing, I organized my pantry.  It was looking awful and needed attention.  I included the before pics and after.  Danielle also helped me realize I needed to label EVERYTHING!  Ok, maybe that is just my OCD nature.

 After:

I added an apron hook for my kids since we LOVE aprons!  :)

I can breathe again!  And get started with ironing....ick.

St. Patty's Day

My mom and I went to The Glitter Academy yesterday....lots of fun!!  We ended up making a Shamrock out of felt for my front door. I used this tutorial for the project, though I might add my own since I made a few changes.

Here is what mine looks like!  I wanted to make one more but it really needs one yard of felt per shamrock and I am almost out.  But that does merit another trip to Hobby Lobby or Joanns.  :)  Let me know what you think.  I would paint the Styrofoam hearts green first, let them dry, then do the pinning.  I got the hearts at Hobby Lobby and the "stem" from a .51 piece of Styrofoam at Home Depot.
Another tip, Home Depot is great for finding cheap craft materials.  Burlap, painter's drop cloths, and those paint chip samples are great to use in projects!!
