Welcome to my World!

As my title states, I am a Wannabe Suzy Homemaker. When I first got married, I knew how to make Mac'n'Cheese and kinda clean up. No clue how to budget or change a diaper. Fast forward 6 years; I can freezer cook, organize, design, paint, craft, sew, love Dave Ramsey, and cloth diaper my youngest. I am trying to be a great wife, mother, and child of God. I am constantly tested but I am willing to try almost anything to grow myself into a better person.

A dead battery will not stop me!!

I started my day off early to get Little E to preschool on time for once.  I went to start the car and " Click, click, click" Nothing.  Dead battery!!  Jump out of the car and get Little E to school with hubbie's car.  Glad he was still home!  Called AAA on the way back home and they were at the house within an hour.  "Dead cell, don't shut the car off until you get to the new battery" says the tech.  Ummm, okay?  Have to pick up Little E and leave the car running outside.  Drive in 30 miles to the nearest Costco to swap out.  I pulled up thinking they would replace it for me.  Not so much.  My car is off and will not start again, two kids that need lunch and naps inside.  Here I stand in the parking lot, not quite sure what to do.  So I grabbed the tool kit from the back of the car and got to it!  I was asked by 2 guys if I needed a hand, but when I told them what I was trying to do...get the battery out...they walked away.  Nice.
But I did it!!!  I should have taken a picture of the placement before I took it out so getting it back in wasn't such a pain.
Putting it back in was...a challenge.  I finally had figured out how to put the stabilizer thingy back on when I dropped one of the pins into the car.  I stood there ready to cry.  I had come so far...and then this.  A quick prayer, a needle nose plier, and getting under the car got the pin out.  Whew.  I squealed and did a happy dance once I got it all done.  I was actually shaking after because I did something I never thought I could do, and that no one ever thought I could do.  I had such an adrenaline rush!  I highly recommend going outside your comfort level and trying something new!
